Monitoring

In monitor mode, signaling information is captured passively using high impedance probes and passed to the protocol analyzer with a low-level time stamp.

Timestamps are synchronized across all probes to allow propagation delay calculations and comparisons.  Using on-line trigger and filter functions, specific events can be detected and recorded.

On-line & off-line statistics provide a graphical view of the signaling characteristics, in terms of traffic volume and protocol specific analysis.  Long-term measurements can also be made using the A8619’s virtual memory technology, which allows buffers of 256 MB or more.  The status of physical interfaces is displayed at all times, including clock, activation and traffic.
