The ISDN BRI S0 AIM is a  2B+D S/T interface module. It supports Terminal Mode (TE), Network Termination (NT), Trunk Mode in private exchange (LT-T) and Line Termination in public or private exchanges (LT-S). There are two modes of operation:

• Mode SIM: Active Link Simulation (RX_A, TX_A)
• Mode MON: Passive Link Monitoring (RX_A, RX_B)

The interface module can process all channels (D, B1 & B2) at the same time in both mode SIM and mode MON. The module also supports:

• Point-To-Point (PTP)
• Point-to-Multi-Point (PTMP)
• Short and extended passive bus configurations
• On-board Power Feed

Functionality

The S/T interface module is a six layer double-sided PCB using auto-assembly SMD technology according to ISO 9001. The S/T physical interface is isolated from the processor sub-system and uses independent grounds to block interference.
